Young Adults Committee

The NAACP DC Branch Young Adults Committee implements programs and initiatives to educate, stimulate and mobilize young adult professionals in the fight for social justice in Washington, DC. We work to advance the economic, educational, social, and political status of African American and other people of color through informing young adults of the problems affecting African Americans and other people of color. We host educational forums and social events to actively recruit young adult NAACP members and to develop intelligent, militant young adult leadership in the Washington, DC.

Black Organization Collaborative (BOC)

In May 2007, the NAACP DC Young Adults initiated the Black Organization Collaborative (BOC), which is a collaboration between several community organizations in Washington, DC that strategize to collectively implement political, educational, economic, and health initiatives affecting the Washington, DC African American community. The NAACP BOC meets annually to determine collaborative initiatives.
